All clients at DC Health undergo orthopedic testing, customized nutrition profiling and lifestyle factors assessment. The information from these assessments is then taken and used to reate you a treatment and training plan to best serve your needs.

1199327486ui5ylaSports Kinesiology: Sports Kinesiology is a culmination of the most advanced philosophies, techniques and procedures from orthopaedic medical science and Holistic Kinesiology, incorporating sports medicine, sports science, performance training, recovery & rehabilitation, nutrition and nutritional biochemistry, psychology and the energetic sciences.

We use sports kinesiology to help correct any orthopedic imbalances that you may have. It is also used by us to ensure that your bodies energy systems are functioning optimally. The physiology of the body can also be treated, ensuring that your unique biochemistry is running optimally so you can achieve amazing results.

Dynamic Mobility, Self Myofascial Release and Corrective Stretching

At DC Health, we take this seriously and it is a major component of all our programs. Your longevity of training and successful movement is one of our main priorities and this ensures that you stay mobile and healthy.

We will prescibe you with mobility drills, self myofascial release techniques and corrective stretches all designed by us to suit your needs. We will also teach you the appropriate forms of stretching for what activity you are about to perform.

Core Stability training is extremely important for optimal performance, aesthetics and movement. All our clients are prescribed a core conditioning program based on their assessment and needs. We folloow this template to ensure your safe and effective progression:

Static Core, Static Extremity – This is to ensure you learn how how to recruit the core and stay stable

Static Core, Dynamic Extremity – In this progression, we begin moving the extremities while maintaining a stable spine

Dynamic Core, Static Extremity – This involves moving the trunk while keeping the extremities relatively fixed

Dynamic Core, Dynamic Extremity – This is full functional movement!

We realize that everybody we work with is unique. For this reason, we provide our clients with nutrition programs, recommending foods that are catered for their own unique biochemistry. Some people are better suited to a more vegetarian diet, while others will fare better on a diet that includes more meat. In this program, we also look at optimizing your hormonal profiles with diet and lifestyle factors. It has been said that 80% of achieving your physique goals come down to diet and at DC Health, we believe this.
