After 30 odd years of seeking treatment for a painful neck and back which always met with limited success , it was time to try something different. Paul  Meldrum has been treating me now for the past 6 months and I have been virtually pain free once Paul had worked out why my body was reacting the way it was and causing my neck and back pain. My body is now balanced, I have more energy and no pain. While rehearsing for a major musical production, I seriously injured my left shoulder. After working on it for a further 8 months, I discovered the tendons were torn and was advised by an orthopedic surgeon that I’d need to have keyhole surgery. That’s when I went to see Paul. After one treatment, I felt immediate results and in the subsequent sessions, felt the shoulder improving each and every time. Upon seeing the orthopedic surgeon again 1 month or so later, the surgeon was shocked and surprised to discover that I had no pain, no tenderness and no visible symptoms at all in the shoulder joint and thanks to Paul, I’m surgery free and well on the way to recovery.

I had been on a very destructive path for many years. Life was an effort and through many attempts could not get off this path. I had lost self respect and my fitness and health was low. I also suffer from curvature of the spine which has resulted in bad back pain. Through different attempts I struggled to turn my life around. I started to go to the gym with Chris Carter as my personal trainer. Being out of my comfort zone Chris provided the motivation, support and education to start me on a program that suited my individual needs. This support and motivation has continued and not wavered over the last 8 months with seeing me become stronger physically and mentally all the time. This training has been combined with kinesiology sessions by Chris that has mostly been focused on my back pain. The gentle yet powerful approach of kinesiology has proven to be extremely successful with my back pain considerably lower and my overall mind body and spirit more in balance. The combination of the training and kinesiology is a great mix and has resulted with me living a much healthier lifestyle along with having stronger core structure, being leaner and toned, and I thoroughly enjoy it at the same time.  I now have a new lease on life. I embrace my future, I wake up with a kick in my step and I’ll never look back.

I’ve tried many jumping exercises to improve my vertical jump for basketball. I’ve only found little gain and pain in my knees. Chris has tailored a workout for me and guided me through different strength exercises with proper form. After a couple months I have gained about 6-8 inches on my vertical jump and jumping higher above the rim. Thanks Chris.

I originally joined the gym to use the facilities for continued physio rehabilitation from a knee reconstruction. However, with Chris as my trainer for just over three months, the improvements that I have felt and continue to see in my knee and general fitness have far surpassed the progress that I achieved with just doing my physio’s exercises. What really works for me is Chris’s holistic approach to rehabilitation: rather than focusing on my knee, Chris has been strengthening my body as a whole and complementing the gym training with sports kinesiology methods. As a result, I feel stronger and healthier than I ever have, even when I was at peak fitness levels playing field soccer before my knee injury! In the past I have been hesitant to join gyms, but with Chris’s personalised exercise program and his friendly, professional approach to training, I know that I can actually achieve results and am now quite happy to do my gym exercises

I’d recently suffered a shoulder injury resulting in a tear in my rotator cuff, and severe bursitis (damaged all the lubrication in my shoulder). It was exceptionally painful to move my arm, and lifting it was nearly impossible. The orthopaedic surgeon explained that I was looking at an 8-12 week recovery time before I could even attempt any upper body weights or weight-bearing activity. I consulted Chris, who after a single session gave me significant, pain-free movement well beyond what I thought was even possible. Following a second session, apart from further gains in pain-free movement, several other factors were dealt with in the session on my shoulder that have since resulted in stress-relief in other areas of my life, including work and relationships. Im not sure how the flow on effects occurred, however I can say that after only 3 weeks- not 12- I have begun using weights again- with ease- and am back training, thanks to Chris. Im extremely grateful for the work you’ve done.
